This week has been a heck of a week...

Hello Hello!!
This week has been a heck of a week.....
The biggest miracle would have to be Jason Cooper!
Jason is a referral from Spanish who read all of first Nephi in a night!
Well, we met him at the beginning of this week, and he was at the beginning of Mosiah! He reads the Book of Mormon from 7 or 8 to midnight everynight....yeah, INCREDIBLE!
Anyway, so when we met with him Tuesday he asked about Church.  His words were, "I wanna come to church, but I don't have any clothes, can the church provide a suit for me? I wanna look good!"  We pulled our chins up off the floor and told him, we'd get him some clothes.
We got his size, and I suddenly remembered that since we took over an Elder's apartment they had left clothes behind, and one of these articles of clothing they left was a brand new pair of dress slacks.....In my mind I was thinking...No, that would be too good to be true, but we've got to check!
So we ran straight home to see the size....he is a 36 and they were 34 but we thought we'd let him try anyway....we also went to goodwill and bought him some that were his actual size and a few ties as well, it was only like $15 for everything, and they were nice! We gave them to him and hoped for the best!
We had another lesson with him on Thursday and it was incredible.  Brother Childs invited us to have it at his house, and the spirit was just so strong.  We taught the Plan of Salvation, and Jason was just eating it up.  We put him on date for July 20, and he said yes! and he is so excited.
So yesterday was the moment of truth.  When he walked in it was incredible! He looked so good in his clothes! He was wearing the goodwill pants so we were thinking the others didn't fit him....but then he came to a baptism we had last night, and he was wearing the pants that had been left in our apartment!!!! They fit him!! God works in mysterious funny ways! :)  Jason loved the Baptism, he said he was so excited for his!!  I LOVE being a MISSIONARY!!!
The Baptism we had last night was incredible.  It was for Jean Silva.  The Senior couple in our ward mostly worked with her and got her excited and ready for baptism, the Elders before us were teaching her, and we had had problems getting in touch! There was such a great spirit at the baptism, and so many members from our ward came!
The Parkland ward is so incredible!! They love missionary work, and it's just exploded since the broadcast last Sunday! I feel like the work here is gonna explode in the next couple of weeks!  It's exciting!
Well, I think that's pretty much all I've got for now!! I'm so glad you all had fun in St.George!! It sounded like a blast, besides the heat!
Oh, it's gotten so hot up here.  It's been 90+ these last couple days and I don't know if it's the humidity or if I'm acclimated to the overcast cool weather up here, but it has been so freaking hot!!! And my feet are insanely tan....which is weird but they are, I'll have to take a picture some time to send, my watch tan line is pretty insanely awesome too!!
Who would have thought that in Washington I would get tan! I mean I should explain, I'm not tan, but I'm much more tan then usual, it's crazy!!
Well, I guess that is all!  I love you all soooooooo much! the 9th I hit my 6 month mark and I'm starting to freak!! Where has the time gone!?!
Anyway I love you all!!
Sister Thomas
